This strategic shift is crafted to align seamlessly with dynamic market trends, aiming to elevate and streamline your trading experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Announcement<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On December 28, 2023, the NSE shared a circular stating a change in the monthly, and quarterly contract expiry day of BANK NIFTY, from Thursday to Wednesday. The key takeaways for traders from the circular include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Effective March 1st, 2024, the exchange is shifting the monthly and quarterly expiry day for Bank NIFTY F&amp;O contracts from Thursday to Wednesday.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first WEDNESDAY monthly expiry will be on March 27, 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The expiry day of all existing contracts available for trading on March 01, 2024, will be preponed from February 29, 2024 end of the day.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If Wednesday is a trading holiday, then the expiry day is the previous trading day.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new far monthly expiry cycle of May 2024 will be introduced with expiry day of May 29, 2024.
