Bottomline

Despite the tailwinds from positive global signals, particularly the hopes for a US rate cut, the Indian indices (Nifty and Sensex) faced immediate resistance at the Opening Bell.

This cautious sentiment was primarily driven by aggressive selling from Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), amounting to ₹4171 crores yesterday. While the Rupee showed strength and sectors like Pharma and Infrastructure announced significant deals and innovations (like Glenmark’s COPD breakthrough), the market’s immediate trajectory remains contingent on whether domestic buying can absorb the sustained FII outflow and push the Nifty past its key resistance levels.
