Daily Insights

Major indices traded weakly today amid subdued global cues. The US Fed consumer expectations survey showed deteriorating future expectations and rising inflation projections. On the domestic front, Tata Group news dominates as trustee infighting over board influence prompts government intervention. Investors eye Q2 results closely, factoring in the GST rate cut and the US tariffs’ impact. Gold remains elevated, hitting Rs 1.23 lakh per 10 gm, on safe-haven demand, while market volatility surged, with India VIX gaining 2.5%.
