Tesla – The Next Big Thing In Auto-tech Segment
From being a niche start-up in California to an industry leader & a global powerhouse, Tesla has come a long, long way.
The company has retained its position as an innovation hub which has allowed it to overcome obstacles in becoming a big name in the electric car space and many more Spaces to come.
The company’s CEO, Elon Musk is now the newspaper star for years. With an eye on ride-share, underground roads, and hyper-loops, we sure do know that Tesla will knock itself out.
A Walk Down the Lane
Tesla was named after Serbian American inventor Nikola Tesla and was founded in 2003 by Martin Eberhard & Marc Tarpenning.
Eberhard was Tesla’s Chief Executive Officer and Tarpenning was the company’s Chief Financial Officer. PayPal co-founder Elon Musk contributed more than $30 million to the new venture and served as chairman of the company, starting 2004.
And in 2008 Tesla released its first car, the completely electric Roadster. In company tests, it achieved 245 miles (394 km) on a single charge. After that, there was no looking back for Tesla.
