Jaishankar and US Foreign Secretary Marco Rubio held talks in Kuala Lumpur on strengthening bilateral ties amid ongoing trade discussions. Brent crude extended gains on hopes of a US-China trade deal and supply concerns following new sanctions on Russia’s Rosneft and Lukoil. Market volatility spiked, with India VIX jumping over 2%.
