Deadline Is Close! File Your ITR For FY 2020-21 By 31st Dec’212 min read

It’s that time of the year again, no we are not hinting at the New Year Eve celebrations. It’s time for you to file the Income Tax Returns (ITR) as the deadline is fast approaching. The deadline for filing ITR is nearing and those who thought that they’d almost missed the previous deadline of September can relax and gear up with the process.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) had earlier provided multiple extensions to the date but now has finally settled on December 31 as being the last date to file ITR. Initially set on July 31, moved to September 30, and now finally to December 31 by the CBDT.

If you haven’t yet filed yours, please treat this as a critical reminder to do so on priority. Filing your income tax returns beyond this date would attract a late fee or penalty. You will end up paying interest along with any penalty that you may need to!

If you are an investor or trader, please ensure that you include your capital gains/profits or losses while filing your taxes.

We at Paytm Money have curated and simplified the ITR process for you and we are here to help!
