Auspicious Muhurat Trading to be held on Nov 141 min read
Like every year, this year too the stock markets will host a symbolic trading session that marks the beginning of Hindu accounting year called Samvat. Muhurat Trading is on the day of Lakshmi Pujan and market participants believe that buying or trading on this occasion can bring blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and will mark the beginning of the wealth creation journey for the year.
Muhurat Trading session is held on the most auspicious hour of the day, this year it will be from 6.15 pm to 7.15 pm on Nov 14.
Worshipping account books and cash chests on this occasion is common in India. Every year, investors and traders perform ‘Chopra Pooja’ i.e. worshipping of account books at stock exchanges, before ‘Muhurat Trading’.
The tradition of Muhurat Trading is a half a century old ritual and has been followed by the stock trading community since 1957. Some investors believe that stocks bought on this day shall be kept and passed onto future generations.
