Update Your Contact Details in the Mutual Funds RTA records5 min read
As per the BSE notice dated 09 Jan 2023, 2-Factor Authentication shall be applicable for all types of SIP registration and lump sum purchase transactions with effect from April 1, 2023. So, to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure better security of their funds, all investors will be required to complete a 2-factor authentication for purchasing Mutual Fund units.
The 2-Factor Authentication will be done by sending OTP to the email address and phone number associated with the folios in RTA records. To ensure you do not face any hassle in receiving OTPs for the same, we suggest you to use the same email address and phone number across your folios. It’ll make your investing experience more organised and easier.
You can update your phone number and email address across your folios through RTAs websites like CAMS and Karvy (KFintech). Find out which RTA your investments fall under by clicking here.

- Karvy (KFintech): https://mfs.kfintech.com/investor/Transact/ChangeFolioEmail
If you already use the same email address and phone number for all your folios, you do not need to update your details.
