Launching GTT Sell Orders For Equity Cash2 min read
We are glad to release the much awaited GTT Sell Order feature! No need to monitor the stock prices anymore. With the GTT feature you can set up instructions to place delivery sell orders when the set price is crossed and sufficient qty is available in holdings or positions. You just need to take care of eDIS authorization for that day.
We had previously released the GTT feature for Equity cash Delivery – Buy and F&O – Buy & Sell, a few months back. You can read more about it here – GTT Orders on Paytm Money
To give you a context, GTT is a feature that allows you to set an order for a future date at a pre-set trigger price. This order will be executed at any time during the one year validity duration when the price is matched!
1. How to put a GTT Sell order?
Step 1: Choose your preferred stock and click on the 3-dot menu
Step 2: Select “Create GTT” and switch to Sell mode
Step 3: Enter details about the instruction – Quantity, Price, etc
Step 4: Voila, the instruction is created!
Step 5: Check the status of the order – Pending or Triggered
How much do I pay for this feature?
This order is currently completely free of cost, you do not have to pay any additional charges for availing its benefits.
Why to put GTT Sell?
- Allows placing a sell order at desired price outside of lower-upper circuit range
- The order remains valid for an entire year
- No active monitoring of prices required
- Place reverse GTT Sell orders for your Buy positions to limit your loss
When will the GTT Sell order execute?
- Validity of these orders is for 1 year
- The order will be triggered as per the trigger price set if it is reached at any time in the year
- On the day of trigger, eDIS authorisation should be available for successful triggering of the Sell order
Do keep in mind that order execution is not guaranteed by Paytm Money Limited. We will send your orders to exchanges once the trigger price is reached, the execution (full or part) depends on other factors like availability of buyers and sellers, eDIS authorisation availability, stock holding availability, volatility, system issues, etc.
Do check out the feature on your Paytm Money apps (Android, iOS) and let us know your feedback.
Happy investing!
